Works well for the purpose however the lid leaks if you tip it to the side or upside down. So this results in only using it at home at the table which is a bummer. Had I known this I might not have purchased.
I see a myofunctional therapist and have been working on my resting tongue posture and this straw has helped so much with the posterior tongue strengthening. I got one for each of my kids to help with their mouth breathing habit too!
I've been using the straw for two weeks, averaging 48 ounces of water daily. I also do daily myofunctional exercises via an app called Snore Gym. My dreams have gotten more vivid but sorry to say, I'm still snoring -- according to my spouse.
I didn't realize the nozzle needs an adapter to fit with the bottle (the adapter is included). I'm concerned that the adapter will be lost and this week no longer work as a water bottle for my child. My preference would be a smaller bottle or a lid made specifically for the myo Jr straw as a previous plastic bottle i purchased was.
Another issue is that this bottle is too wide at the base to fit into the drink holder in a car seat which will make taking it in the car tricky.
Swallowing feels so good with the Myo-Nozzle. It is hard work though. I have both the plastic and the stainless Steel bottles. I feel that the Stainless Steel bottle is a bit heavy and it's hard to tell how low the straw it to the bottom. I did get the stainless steel straw and haven't tried it yet, I hope it makes a positive difference.
I realized I forgot how to swallow because when I drink from REMplenish it feels good. I have a little bit of tongue tie and it is very hard for me to get my tongue to the roof of my mouth and the Myo-Nozzle helps tremendously. I use it as exercise all day: Time for 10 tongue push-ups!
